Welcome to Record Play. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all visitors, ticket purchasers, and attendees of Record Play events. By purchasing a ticket, attending an event, or interacting with our website, you agree to the Terms below.

1. About Record Play

Record Play is a live, interactive music trivia and game show experience featuring team-based play, audience participation, a live host and DJ, and challenge rounds with prizes. Events may take place in bars, venues, private spaces, or corporate locations.

2. Eligibility & Age Requirements

  • Events hosted at bars or alcohol-serving venues are 21+

  • Valid photo ID may be required for entry

  • All-ages or corporate events will be clearly labeled

  • No refunds will be issued for failure to meet age requirements

3. Tickets & Entry

  • Tickets are non-refundable, except where required by law

  • Tickets are valid only for the specific event date and time

  • Late arrival may result in delayed or denied entry

  • Record Play reserves the right to refuse entry or remove attendees for violations of these Terms

4. Participation & Prizes

  • Ticket purchase does not guarantee participation in games, challenges, or prize rounds

  • Challenge participation is limited by time, safety, and game format

  • Prizes have no cash value and are non-transferable unless stated

  • Record Play may substitute prizes of equal or greater value

5. Audience Conduct

You agree to behave respectfully toward hosts, DJs, staff, venue personnel, and other guests.

The following are prohibited:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or threatening behavior

  • Excessive intoxication

  • Disrupting gameplay, staff, or equipment

  • Unauthorized stage or equipment access

Violations may result in immediate removal without refund.

6. Alcohol & Venue Rules

  • Alcohol service is controlled solely by the venue

  • Record Play is not responsible for alcohol service decisions

  • Attendees must comply with all venue policies and local laws

7. Health, Safety & Assumption of Risk

By attending, you acknowledge that Record Play events may involve:

  • Loud music, lighting effects, standing, movement, and crowd interaction

  • Voluntary physical participation in challenges

You voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance and participation.

8. Media Release

By attending a Record Play event, you grant Record Play the irrevocable right to photograph, film, and record you. These materials may be used for marketing, promotional, and archival purposes across digital and print platforms without compensation.

9. Intellectual Property

All Record Play content—including game formats, trivia questions, visuals, branding, and presentation—is the exclusive intellectual property of Record Play. Unauthorized recording, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited.

10. Event Changes & Cancellations

Record Play reserves the right to modify event details, including format, timing, hosts, DJs, or content.

If an event is canceled by Record Play, ticket holders will receive either:

  • A refund or

  • A credit toward a future event (at Record Play’s discretion)

11. Force Majeure

Record Play is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control, including weather, venue issues, government restrictions, or emergencies.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Record Play is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed the ticket price paid.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Record Play, its owners, staff, contractors, and partners from any claims resulting from your actions, violations of these Terms, or participation in events.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved in Travis County, Texas.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a ticket, attending an event, or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
